    The enrolment of the Plan International Walk for Children has entered the final stage, and Plan International Hong Kong is thrilled by the support received from the community and would like to invite all of you to join this joyful event to deliver love to disadvantaged children. 2012 marks the 75th anniversary of Plan International and the 35th anniversary of Ocean Park, thus making the Plan International Walk for Children an especially meaningful day for both organisations.

    Plan International “Walk for Children”, co-organised with Ocean Park, has received generous support from the public since the event was announced in December 2012. Responding to demand, Plan has announced that the application deadline of 10th February 2012 has been extended to 20th February 2012. Plan hopes this will allow more people from all walks of life the opportunity of joining the event whether individually or in groups, in support of disadvantaged children. Apart from the support from Plan Ambassadors Ekin Cheng and Louisa So, Plan is glad to announce that Ms Lisa Cheng, Plan “Because I am a Girl” Ambassador and renowned athlete, will be the officiating guest of the event’s kick-off ceremony.

    At a press conference today (8th February, 2012), Plan International Hong Kong as one of the members of the Face-to-Face Monthly Giving Alliance, is joining hands with 18 other charitable organizations to launch a “Code of Practice on Face-to-Face Monthly Donors’ Recruitment” (hereafter named “the Code”). The Code provides practical guidelines and sets professional standards for conducting monthly donor recruitment on the streets of Hong Kong.

    Plan Ambassadors and renowned entertainment artists Ekin Cheng and Louisa So have rendered tremendous support to Plan International Hong Kong. Besides signing up for the Child Sponsorship Programme, they have also visited their sponsored children in Cambodia in order to gain first-hand experience of their living and learning environments.
