The 4th “Plan International Hong Kong Partner Awards Ceremony” Celebrates Corporates for Their Commitments in Advancing Children’s and Girls’ Rights
The 4th “Plan International Hong Kong Partner Awards Ceremony” was held in July, well attended by representatives from 38 corporates and foundations to receive awards and celebrate the achievements of Plan International’s work.
To express our sincere gratitude and recognise the steadfast support of our corporate and foundation partners, the 4th “Plan International Hong Kong Partner Awards Ceremony” was held on 3 July. During the event, six distinct awards were presented—namely, “Diamond Partner,” “Annual Platinum Partner,” “Platinum Partner,” “Gold Partner,” “Partner,” and “Compassionate Partners in Giving”—in acknowledgment of the generous contributions made towards advancing the rights of children and girls.
The ceremony was officiated by Ms. Sylvene Fong, the Board Member of Plan International Hong Kong, alongside Dr. Kanie Siu, Chief Executive Officer, who both served as award presenters. Together, they presented the awards to representatives from 38 participating corporates and foundations, celebrating the collective achievements made possible through these meaningful partnerships.
Uniting Benevolence to Transform Children’s Futures
In her opening remarks, Ms. Sylvene Fong stated, “We are deeply grateful for the generous support of our partners, which has enabled Plan International to implement a wide range of programmes both locally and globally. Together, we are delivering comprehensive assistance to vulnerable children and girls impacted by poverty, conflict, and climate-related disasters. Through education and protection, we strive to ensure they grow up safely, healthily, and with dignity—empowered by knowledge to transform their futures.”
Dr. Kanie Siu also expressed her appreciation for the continued collaboration, “Thanks to the trust and resources provided by our partners, Plan International has successfully organised numerous fundraising campaigns and advanced projects across developing countries. These efforts have created life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged children and girls. We sincerely hope our partners will continue to stand with us in support of our mission.”
During her officiating speech, Ms. Sylvene Fong Board Member of Plan International Hong Kong, stated that in recent years, frequent conflicts and wars have severely threatened the rights of children and girls. She emphasised the importance of uniting all sectors of society to provide timely and comprehensive support for vulnerable groups.
Looking Ahead: Advancing a Shared Vision for a Better Future
The awards ceremony also welcomed several distinguished guests who shared their perspectives on future collaboration with Plan International Hong Kong. Among them were Mr. YK Lee, Group CFO of RYTHM Foundation; Ms. Juliana Lam, Founder & President of INNOTIER LIMITED; and Mr. Stephen Pau, Chief Investment Officer of Hefeng Family Office. Together with these esteemed guests, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening partnerships in the years ahead, to advancing gender equality and fostering a more just and hopeful future for disadvantaged children and girls worldwide.
Mr. YK Lee, Group CFO of RYTHM Foundation, shared that the foundation has consistently encouraged its employees to actively participate in voluntary service and has fully supported Plan International’s “Safer Cities for Girls” project in India, jointly pursuing the mission of promoting gender equality and advancing sustainable social development.
Ms. Juliana Lam, Founder & President of INNOTIER LIMITED, stated that the company has long been committed to integrating innovative technology with its mission of sustainable development, while actively championing women’s empowerment. She expressed her aspiration to continue collaborating in the future to advance the rights of girls, enabling more of them to access equal opportunities for growth and to shine in their own unique ways.
Mr. Stephen Pau, Chief Investment Officer of Hefeng Family Office, will travel to the Alps to participate in the 2025 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, undertaking the challenge as a charity run to raise funds for Plan International’s girls’ rights projects. He shared his personal journey of philanthropy over the years, highlighting that his enduring commitment is rooted in steadfast belief. He expressed his hope to help girls reshape their futures through tangible action.
Partners signed their names on heart-shaped wooden plaques and placed them onto the “Tree of Equality,” a symbol of hope and unity. This act represented their collective commitment to advancing gender justice alongside Plan International Hong Kong, planting the seeds of change to grow and flourish.
