Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for producing communication materials to enhance donor’s understanding of fund use, as well as corporate and marketing communications materials to support the organisation’s brand-building and fundraising goals.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute effective donor communications strategies to achieve the organisation’s goals and enhance brand propositions;
  • Understand the donor segments and devise personalised, donor-centric communications through various communication channels, including but not limited to emails, WhatsApp and direct mailings, social media, websites, newsletters, speeches, and/or presentations etc;
  • Support the development and production of the organisation’s publications, such as newsletters, impact reports and annual review to build trust and enhance donors’ understanding of fund use.
  • Write feature articles and prepare publicity and communications materials such as press invitation, media Q&A, speeches, social media content etc.
  • Provide marketing communications and promotion support to the organisation’s events and fundraising campaigns to engage target audiences.
  • Assist in website content updates regularly.
  • Develop and manage corporate collaterals like souvenirs, corporate T-shirts,

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Level of education

  • University Degree in Communications, Translation, Journalism or related disciplines

Knowledge / Job Specific Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in communications and copywriting
  • Good command of written Chinese and English
  • Knowledge of writing and editing various types of Chinese and English materials
  • Proficient in MS Office applications. Knowledge of graphic software such as Canva, AI and Photoshop or experience in digital marketing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of printing and video production is an advantage.
